Google Maps users will see the availability of parking lots near their destination

Currently being tested in a limited number of cities in the United States, this new feature will provide additional help to motorists using Google Maps and help drive traffic to retail outlets.
After the recent integration to request a ride with Uber, the mapping application is deploying a new option. As part of a route, it displays an indicator as to the probability of finding a parking space near the destination recorded by the user.
The indicator in question is a "P" located next to the estimated travel time, broken down into three levels: easy, medium and difficult. According to Google, these results are based on "historical parking data". The procedure is identical to the Popular Times service and the average duration of a visit to a location.
Additional help to activate the consumer
This feature complements other consumer services that allow brands to drive traffic to their points of sale. Here is a reminder:
- the correct implementation of addresses and opening hours (and exceptional opening hours)
- contact methods: phone call, or soon, instant messages
- the detail of products and services offered
- the display of photos of the establishment
- the calculation of the route (the number of requests via Google was impressive for Mobilosoft clients in 2016)
